Dr Rob Scott

D.C, ICSSD (Sport)

Rob has now retired. Please arrange to see another of our chiropractors

Rob graduated from AECC in 1996 and started the clinic in 1997.

He retired in August 2025.

Throughout the years he has developed and learnt a range of adjunctive treatments including extremities (arms, elbows, wrists, knees and feet), assessing gait mechanics, soft tissue therapies and has gained a post graduate diploma in Sports Chiropractic (ICSSD) which allows him to treat elite athletes.

He has worked at a number of British Masters Athletics events including the European Championships in Poznan in 2006, several World and European Tug of War Championships, The World Games in Poland in 2017, the World CSIT Games in Spain in 2019 and also worked at the 2012 London Olympics at the Polyclinic in the Olympic Rowing Village, which he describes as a great honour and a fantastic experience. He also enjoyed a brief spell working at Aldershot Football Club.

Being selected to be part of an international team of Chiropractors to work at both IWGA World Games allows chiropractic to provide medical support to competing countries that have no medical backup to try and “level the playing field.” He has also been appointed the head of medical services for the Hockey for Heroes charity where he looks after both the ladies’ and men’s teams and is Honorary Medical Consultant for the World Tug Of War Federation (TWIF).

He is a keen advocate of chiropractic and believes that everyone regardless of age can benefit from having a properly working skeleton. He has treated babies and 90-year-olds successfully and believes that the human body must be looked after if it is to survive the ordeals of daily life without injury.

Rob has been developing a theory about chiropractic which allows many injuries, including muscle pulls and sprains to be treated by looking at the spine, or other joints and putting this into practice by helping athletes to avoid these injuries completely. Using a relatively new approach to back pain called afferentology Rob is able to be very precise about what needs to be treated. He believes that if we end up having diagnosable problems it is already too late and that preventing them from happening at all by merely keeping the spine in good health is the best way of looking after your own health.

Rob has always lived locally, plays and umpires hockey regularly and is currently into “Arctic Noir” books.
